Scratchie Brushes

They don't have to be gore brushes - I just like that colour red. :)

Scratch from 8mm film, use however you like, check out the rest of this account for more grunge badness.

Brushes x 6
500 - 700 px
Photoshop CS

how do you even get the brushes?!?!

Depends on what version of Photoshop you use. Have a look in your help file, but it'll involve you to download them, put them in a special folder and 'import' into your brush palette.

Oi, I totally fell in love with those brushes and using them in almost every drawing to make it look at least okay. Feel free to check the gallery - oh you want to be linked? I forgot about that, but it's not stealing right?

Hey dude... sorry if this a bit late. You can use my brushes for whatever you like. No restrictions.

Just click the 'download' link next to the picture. Your Photoshop help file should walk you through installing them.

Cheers

Hello again!

Just thought I'd let you know that the conversion of these to GIMP format that you gave me permission to do is INCREDIBLY popular! Here's the stats on them as of right now:

Views
Total: 16,798 (original PS version: 12,006)

Downloads
Total: 10,569 (original PS version: 7,854)

Looks like they are even more popular for GIMP than they are for Photoshop! They are actually the 10th most popular brush set for GIMP of ALL TIME on dA! I remember at one time you were somewhat surprised by the number of GIMP users and the popularity of these. Well, we are many! Thanks again for allowing me to convert them so that this group of people can enjoy them, too! :)

Welp, here you go... All these brushes, converted over to The GIMP. Check it out here: [link]

Thanks again! BTW, I can convert pretty much ANY Photoshop brush or brush set to GIMP format. Noticed something about Russian cigars... I wonder what they are rolled with... Yak skin? I'd like to try one if you could maybe direct a supplier my way....

Love these! I don't use Photoshop, though... I'm an open-source kind of guy, and I use The GIMP ([link]). When I find a Photoshop brush set I like I just convert it to GIMP format and pull 'em on in. I already did that with these, for my own use. Mind if I repost them in the GIMP brushes section, with full credit for the original work going back to you along with a link back here? That way other GIMP folks that don't know how to convert Photoshop stuff can use your brushes, too, and your work gets spread around for even more artisits to use (especially ones that are trying to be honest and not use stolen software, but can't afford Photoshop, so they use The GIMP (like me)). Let me know!
